BC and Villa Questions

We have five people in our family, including three children all above 16. We're still debating where to stay this August, and while the Swan sounds great, and we can get two rooms for the price of one at BC with the teacher discount, we're still considering BC. It seems odd to me that the BC room can sleep five, but even the one bedroom villa can only sleep four. I assume the villa has much more square footage than the single at BC. Does anyone know how strict the four people per room policy is at the BC one bedroom villa? Any chance we could get a rollaway bed and have five in the room - even for an extra charge? I intend to call Disney, but I suspect the reservationist will just tell me the official line. I thought maybe this board would know if exceptions have ever been made. Thanks.

The only way BCV will allow 5 in a room is if one of them is under 3. This works for us this year, (we are staying there in 3 days, my inlaws will be spending a few days with us, making us 5 with the baby.) but in the future will will have to rent a 2 bedroom is we want guests.

It is strange since some mod resorts allow 5 in a room, and they have less room then a one bedroom.

My understanding is DVC is rather strict on this, and encourge people to get more points if they need more room. It does seem strange, and many people would like the limit to be raised to 5 if 3 of them are kids.

Beach club itself may have different rules then the villias.

Where did you hear DVC was strict on this? I have heard quite the opposite and although against the rules many, many families do this. You can not get a roll away bed and need to bring your own blow up mattress. Good luck.:)
