BBB: Castle or Downtown Disney??

I'm getting ready to start booking my ADR's and the BBB trip for my girls at the end of the month. I was wondering... is there a difference in the locations besides the obvious?

Also, my oldest daughter is in a size 10/12. I was going to order dresses online to save money on the package, but then I realized that a lot of the deluxe dresses online don't come in her size. I wonder if this is going to be a problem when we get there? She would be so upset if we went and she didn't get to get a dress like her sister. :(

I've heard that the advantage of the DTD location is in the costume selection, sizes, and accessories available. We did the castle location last year and a friend of mine did the DTD location over the summer...she wishes she booked the castle. She felt the "magic" was lacking a bit at the DTD location. Plus she wished she could have had her daughter just walk out of BBB and be in Fantasyland. When we did it, we did the pkg that was just hair, makeup and nails and then bought the costume and accessories separately over at Castle Couture across from the castle since we had no intention of buying ever single accessory.

As for costume sizes...while I have found the park authentic costumes to be even more $ on ebay than they are at WDW, I know I've seen them in size 10/12. In fact, here's a park authentic Sleeping Beauty in that size http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-Park...295?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item56415d55bf

Thanks for the info! I know the World of Disney store in DTD is so big, so I was thinking the size issue would probably not be so much of a problem there, but my girls really want to do it in the one in the castle. :\ I guess I'll try to book the castle and hope for the best! I'm going to try to get them into BBB in the morning and then into Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch on the same day. Here's hoping! :)

That's pretty much what we did...BBB @ 10am and lunch at CRT at 12:15pm. I know I've heard people talk about buying things in advance and having it delivered to their room upon check in. I wonder if you could buy the costumes/accessories you want in the sizes you need in advance and have them waiting for you in your room upon check in or for pick up at the front desk upon arrival.

We're planning on taking our little girl to Disney World for her first birthday, and I just found a Tinkerbell outfit at Babies R Us for far cheaper than I would have at Disney. They had a lot of sizes too. It's an official Disney baby costume, I suppose out because of Halloween. It looked like the same one as the park, but I can't be sure.

I just wanted to mention this because they had a lot of Disney Princess dresses & accessories. You may be able to find some things since it's Halloween season, and then bring them with you to save on some money.

Sorry I can't be of more help on the location. I know for me, when my daughter is older, I would want to book the castle. Just something magical about getting a makeover in the castle & being in the park for the day. :)
