We are currently booked for a split stay in April, with the first 5 nights (April 2-7) at All Star Movies, and the next 6 nights (April 7-13) at the Grand Floridian. My wife wants to stay there for our 10 year anniversary, but it is too expensive to stay there the entire 11n nights, hence the 1st 5 at ASM to offset the cost. In order to offset costs more, I am considering moving off property for those 5 nights, but I want it to be someplace within a mile or two of Disney property, as I don't relish the thoughts of traversing all the way through Kissimmee to and from the parks (especially since we tend to leave midday and go back out again that evening). Currently, the 5 nights at ASM comes out to $940, but with the usual discount (AP, GP or whatever) of 25%, I expect my final total to be around $700. As a Walmart employee, I can get on the Walmart benefits site and get discounted hotels, and one of the ones I found was Baymont Inn and Suites (http://www.hotelsavings.com/booking/1040815), for $60 a night, or a total of around $330 for the 5 nights, including taxes, resort fees, etc. I just wondered if anyone has stayed at this hotel, or at least seen it in passing, and what you think of it. I know it obviously won't be the quality of a Disney hotel, and that's fine, but I just don't want it to be a junk heap either.
btw, that link above is not from the Walmart discount site I mentioned. I looked that up last night, but the above link is something I just googled a few minutes ago just so everyone can see the hotel I am talking about. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone types in my dates and sees that it does not come up to $60 a night.
