Battle of the Forts

Yesterday I was thinking of a bunch of stuff WDW could do to ALand for their 40th (playing on the same line DL did for their 40th, 40 Years of Adventure!) One ideas crossed my mind that I am really liking...

Re-theme the El Pirata y el Perico Restaurant into looking like a Pirate Fort - similar to the Pirates entrance across the way. Now there is two different versions for the rest of this..


Version 1:
There would be cannons a top both of these buildings with Pirate AA's looking like their controlling them. Similar to the same thing in the Pirate ride, they would shoot air/steam and light up red to make it look like the cannon just went off. Then using the same technique from Muppets (when the building explodes) you would see the cannon hole appear on the opposite side of the building. This would continue every half hour or hour.

Version 2:
It would be the same set up as Version 1, but there wouldn't be an AA's. Instead three or four times there would be a live show on the top of these buildings. The special effects would be the same as Version 1.

I didn't work on the nit and grit into this idea/show, but just came up with an overall concept. What do you think? :wave:

There don't even need to be people on the roof... just the suggestion of a battle with voices and such would suffice. And the Muppet tech. has a lot to do with lighting and darkness, so it probably wouldn't work in the day. I think if there was an explosion and a large plume of smoke from the opposite building the idea would work better.

It would certainly work better at night. During the day it would have to work differently.
