Ahoy mateys-- ye come seeking adventure and salty ol pirates eh........but find painfully executed "upgrades" instead.

Has anyone else noticed the Magic Kingdom's absolutely abysmal rendition of the world famous talking skull and crossbones of Disneyland's Pirates? The Magic Kingdom added a new feature(or a relaunching) on its Pirates ride and it completely embarrasses: compared to the original in California the voice is laughably off key and unconvincing, the set positioning and execution looks contrived instead of naturally apart of the experience and what's with that bright red cloth to outline this woeful AA and its way out of proportion eye sockets.

As a defender of WDW from time to time I run across a few Magic Kingdom scoffers out there---- most notably Disneyland purists/ west coasters who see their park as superior; do we really need to give them more ammunition!!!???

Rode it on Wednesday and am still seeing spots from that a-hole. Yeah, they can do away with it any time.

Get rid of the blinding flash skull, and add Captain Salazar to the mist projection.

I don't know, I was actually quite giddy when I heard the skull had returned, even if only for a PhotoPass opportunity. Now if they'd just bring back the Barker Bird!

Picture time!
Yep, I can't believe I left that part out. Talk about a head shaking/ "I weep for our future" moment ---nothing like a good old flash to annoy.
