Barry Bedford has started uploading his videos from his trip to HKDL! You can view them at www.barrybedford.com. As of posting, he has the Disney in the Sky fireworks and the Jungle Cruise up, as well as video tours of the interior and exterior of HKDL Resort and the Hollywood Hotel and the park promenade. His videos from Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Main Street, as well as Disney on Parade and many more are listed as "coming soon".

The theming of the hotels look great! Jungle Cruise seemed a tad bit too short but the finale was pretty cool. The fireworks were very good as well, however I thought the arrangements of the songs sounded a bit odd at times and wasn't exactly Wishes quality, but the amount of fireworks in the show seemed to make up for it. (Sounded like the audience was having a blast.)

If you haven't checked out the videos yet, they're worth checking out.

Looking forward to the parade video.

BarryB, you are DA MAN.

(Note: The files are in MP4 format so you'll have to install Quicktime 7 or a compatable media player.)

Hi guys,

WOW, thanks for the comments on my site. Glad you're enjoying them!!!

Just a couple of notes. There's a free quicktime download. Do not pay for the PRO version as you don't need it for my videos. I use Mpeg4 now for the higher quality you can get with smaller downloads.

I'll be adding the Disney on Parade videos early in the week. I've also got another panaramic shot of Town Square from the station looking towards the castle which is beautiful as it shows the mountains in the distance.

The 'Land' videos are coming very soon. Almost done editing them. Tomorrowland is amazing at night as they used alot of neon on the buildings and the music score is cool which I use for that video.

On the other videos already posted, I stayed in the Hollywood Hotel and just loved the place (hence the 3 videos for here!).

The HKDL Hotel was much smaller than the Grand Floridian but very nicely none the less. If you watch the HKDL Hotel videos you'll see the 3D screen they used in the Crystal Lotus which shoots 3D flames from the bottles and also the Carp Ponds as you enter the restaurant which are screens set in the floor. When you walk on them ripples appear on the water and the fish will approach your feet and swim around them! You also hear splashes as you walk!

Park Promenade is a very nice way to walk to the Park. The music is loud and really sets the tone. The fountain is sooooo cool and does a show every 15 minutes or so. I have video of this at night to put up too.

And as for the Fireworks! WOW! Very enjoyable!!!! Although zero villians appear in the park!

Anyway, I'll keep ya posted of the extra bits and feel fee to ask any questions.

Enjoy!
BarryB.

Okay, I just saw "Disney in the Stars" thanks to Barry's site and I think it's a beautiful fireworks show. The musical selection highlights the best music from classic Disney animated films, and maybe it's just me, but I found this show to be really romantic? More so than any of the other Disney fireworks shows I've seen. Good job Disney!! :sohappy:

The place doesn't look very busy in any of you pics or vids, when did you go. Also does anyone know why there is no Partners Statue.

Well DLP doesn't have one either. Although they did put one in at the Walt Disney Studios Paris. Although its not the same without a castle in the background.

Really? I guess I didn't notice that. I was under the impression that there was a replica at all of the parks.

Hi all,

Glad you're all enjoying the videos and photos and thanks again for all the kind comments.

Peter, I was there the end September. Stayed in the Hollywood for 5 days. The park wasn't busy during the week and everything was pretty much a walkon.

My understanding of the Partners statue is that it's given on milestones. I would think that HKDL will get it at some stage but probably to mark a birthday. It should be in Disneyland Park in Paris and not in the Studios.

Anyhow, i've put the Disney On Parade footage up along with the rainy day (Typhoon) version. I've also added the fountain doing it's 'thang' at night.

The additional park pieces are almost done so stay tuned!

Enjoy,
BarryB.
