My wife said that she read that the barbershop on Main Street in MK actually offers haircuts. She wants to get our baby's first haircut there. Is this true? Do they do anything special for a 1st haircut? Any info would be appreciated.

They do offer haircuts, and many of the Cast Members there will add a special Disney touch to the experience, especially for young children. I went in there a couple times and would leave with "pixie dust" in my hair.

I read in the Disney Passholder Magazine a couple of months ago that it is a real barber shop. They do cut hair. For a baby's first haircut they also give you a certificate along with a lock of the baby's hair. Cool!

They do haircuts and they are really cool with the kids. There usually is a small line or so. Worth the wait though.

Last November my husband was waiting in line for a quick haircut for him and they was about 3 more people ahead of us when this nasty lady with 2 kids flipped out in line that it was "just for kids and that the grownup should get the F* out of the line so her kids could get a haircut. Its a GD kids park and not for adults. " Needless to say my husband got out of line (he hates people like that) and the other people ahead of us (Grown men) told her to wait her turn like everyone else. The Shop people said its for everyone. She was livid that she had to wait.

They like to make a big deal over first haircuts, so it would be a great place to have it done. Definately a much nicer place to have it done than a local barbershop.

I had my hair cut there last june. they are a great bunch. They posed for pictures with a giant pair of sissors and sprinkled pixie dust (mickey mouse shaped confetti) on my head when it was done. I loved every minute of it. I plan to get my hair cut there every time i go now.

We had planned to get DD hair cut there for the past 3 trips (she turns 3 at the end of this month). However each time when ever it is a good time to get in line for the hair cut, it is also a great time to head to FL and get some rides in before the lines get big. There just always seems too much to do and not enough time for hair cuts while at WDW. We even stopped in last time and had DD check it out, but he wanted to go to dumbo instead (it was our last day.)

I heard they give you mickey ears with 1st haircut on them. I think it cost around 14$, not bad for a hair cut.

The shop is now located right at the frount of mainstreet near the bathrooms and the fire station. (close to where the parades end.) It is very small, and very cute. I have heard great things about the barbers there.

BTW, to the laday who balled out Kellylynn322's husband, you can get aressted for using that kind of lanuage in frount of chilren in Michigan. Some people should grow up (or stay a kid at heart!) I hate people who think everyone else's fun should be sacraficed for their kid when at WDW! You know these are people who are only thinking about how much it is costing them and their kid better enjoy it!

My dad makes it a priority to go there every time we go on vacation, he finds it to be a good hair cut, and a decent disney price, and the pixie dust is so fun. the barbers are a good group of guys (and I think one gal, maybe 2), and they are always up for a spirited discussion!
