Bar-b-que at the resorts

Last week we were hanging out at the FQ bar watching a game and someone mentioned all we needed was some good bar-b-que and everything would be perfect. Well then the conversation began about actually "tailgating" at the hotel. We asked the bartender, a life guard, and another CM an no one knew for sure if this is allowed or not. The life guard even stated that if we pull it off he and a couple of his buddies would be over. Does anyone know what the resorts position would be if a grill was brought on the lawn and folks started cooking burgers and stuff? Not that I would ever actually do, nor have I seen anyone do it, but I am curious.

I know Saratoga Springs has grills around some of their outdoor areas. We grilled some burgers and dogs one evening waiting for the fireworks over Pleasure Island. It was a good time. I can't speak of the other resorts but can not remember it being part of any other trip.

I would guess that classic tailgating--setting up a feast in the parking lot would not be allowed for the same reason that many sports venues are currently discouraging it--smoke (some people are bothered by it), the huge trash problem, and public drinking (and its aftermath).

Awesome trip as always. If they didn't have white beans and jambalaya at our home games I probably would be tailgating there.

Go Cajuns :D

As far as I know the only BBQ's at Disney resorts are at Fort Wilderness campgrounds. And maybe some vacation club spots... but Im sure CM's would say something if you wipped out a grill and started cooking.

Why would you want to cook anyways? your on vacation lol
