It's the parallax effect that Apple uses on the iPhone background. Similar in concept to the Multi Plane camera or Mission: SPACE.

Nope. It has a display that merely extends past the edges of the window and is slightly curved. Decidedly not 3d. I don't even think it looks like mission space but some do.

I don't believe that is the case. I'm pretty sure that it is a multi-plain display.

Not entirely sure what you mean by "multi-plane" - I'd assume that means multiple layers of screens ala the screens in the test track pre show. That is definitely not what is going on on the HE. There's is no depth at all on the HE windows other than the slight curve to the screen and the fact that it lays beyond the window.
