Has anyone else here been keeping up with this mini serires? I've been watching it since the first episode and all I can say is wow! The show is a real eye opener and just gives you more respect for those who served and/or gave their lives fighting for their country. If you havent seen it I sugest you check it out or pick up the book.

Is this the one with David Schwimmer? I have to say I watched the first episode, but got sick of looking at him! Wish I'd carried on now! :(

I have to say that seeing David Schwimmer as a tough drill sargent turned me off at first (how he ever convinced Speilberg and Hanks he could pull that roll off I'll never know). I was going to go back to it but since the 11th I haven't been in much of a mood to watch a war movie.

Schwimmer is long gone......turns out he cracks under combat situations and hes dismissed in the second episode. You guys make it sound like Scwimmer is the star or something......hes not. If you cant catch the show or dont want to watch it read the book.....it's even better than the show.

I have episodes 1-5 on tape, and I'll tape 6-10 when they rerun them at the series finish... :) Now I just have to watch them.... I'm with Freak on this...haven't felt much like watching war stuff lately...
