Given the pointless security at the Contemporary monorail entrance I can see why they would want redundant checks. If you were trying to smuggle stuff into the parks and the monorail was considered inside the security point then any halfway decent terrorist would be going through the hotel's security checkpoints, they are very vulnerable to people shuffling things past them. I don't know if Disney is just being cheap on how they set the checkpoints out or if it is because they don't want to upset the guest paying a significant premium for their deluxe hotels.I thought the point was to put the monorail inside the security perimeter so they didn’t have to do this?
