Backstreet Boys headline hurricane relief concert

Greetings all from the Geek Labs

Opening act Brooke Hogan will join musical groups Boyz II Men and the Backstreet Boys to perform a concert to raise money for the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney West Side at 8 p.m. on Sept. 17.

Tickets for the event are on sale at www.HOB.com. on the Internet, and also at the House of Blues Box Office. Doors are scheduled to open at 7 p.m.

wow I didnt even know the Backstreet boys were still together

I just wish i was there to see it. I have been a BSB fan for a long time. I wish I could go to the concert.

Ah, so THIS is where they are in between casino and county fair gigs.

If you're going, check the smoking section, Bobby and Whitney may show up.

But in all seriousness, hopefully this isn't the biggest benefit gig being played in Florida and people who can actually attract large crowds will be putting together bigger events and therefore real money.

But then again, those guys are from Orlando so they're still probably huge in that area.

The tix are 60-100 and the venue is capacity at 2000, so that's between 120K and 200K before expenses are taken out.

It'd be nice if they put together a huge gig in the Atlanta area in October after all of these major hurricanes have passed.

The average "life" of a boyband is 5 years. The only exception is New Edition (they've been around about 20 years or so).
