My wife and I are doing the Backstage Magic Tour Today, but we never received any tickets I know were to go but I was wondering if you just give them your name and reservation number when you get to epcot. Thank you for your help.

As far as I know you do not receive tickets, we didn't get anything when we went back in September. Just be sure to bring photo id with you when you go since you can't take the tour without it.

You check in at guest services, usually outside the entrance area and everyone meets the guide at the same place. There will be someone in the area to guide you. Just have your ID's with you (photo of course).
The last time we took the tour there were several other groups meeting in the same area. But you will be routed to the correct place.
Enjoy :xmas::xmas:

They've changed it. You don't check in at Guest Services anymore. They've created a "Tour Garden" area near Guest Services now for people to congregate as there are too many tours taking place at Epcot now for them all to meet at Guest Services. It is between the Monorail exit ramp and Guest Relations. I believe there is a sign that says "Tour Garden" or something along those lines. You just have to wait there and your tour guide will come out with a clip board with a list of names on it. You will have to show your photo ID to the guide and they will check your name off the list.

Thank you for your help. The tour was great and they told us today that this is the first week of including the Animal Kingdom to the Backstage tour. We ended there watching the Christmas parade witch started today. And for the backstage part they bring you to the parade facility. A really cool place to see all the props used and set up before going out.

We took this tour a number of years ago when it was Epcot/DHS/MK. Would be interested in your feedback now that AK is included.

It was really cool to see the people getting the parade floats ready, Thats all they showed after the parade building you go to the gardening center, then they take you into AK for the parade. I would like to have seen more but i know they didnt have time and I think everyone would like the tour to include alot more in each park but it was still fun and will do it again.

I took it a few times several years ago, and my wife and I are contemplating taking it in January - but I've read only bad reviews about it in the last year or so. They took out some of the really cool stuff and replaced it with a tour of the laundry facility and "free time" in the MK.

Would you mind posting a detailed report of your tour? I'd really appreciate it!

the backstage magic tour is disney’s most comprehensive overview. this tour covers the magic kingdom, epcot, and disney mgm studios. it is a full seven hour day, and includes a family style lunch at mama melrose in disney mgm studios.

We took the tour Thursday Nov. 12.
It did include all 4 parks we were told we were the 4th group to see all four parks. It lasted until past 4 PM instead of the 3 PM advertised.
It was crappy weather so the tour was a great way to spend the day.
There was no tour of the laundry facility.
I'm sure they had to cut out parts to add Animal Kingdom.
Lunch was at the Wilderness Lodge. I think they stopped going to Mama Melrose a while ago.

Where at the Wilderness Lodge do you have lunch? Do you have it at Whispering Canyon or at Artist Point? This may have an impact on whether or not I do it again in the future. We've been turned off Whispering Canyon due to bad service in the past and the antics have gotten to the point where we just don't want to deal with them anymore. We love staying at the resort but won't eat at that restaurant anymore, we'll go elsewhere.

It was Whispering Canyon. We had never been there so we enjoyed it. It was a large group (34 total) so I think they kept the silliness to a minimum. They seemed to be busy refilling beverages.

I think we'll be passing on redoing this tour then. We were totally turned off returning to this restaurant on our last visit. When the server out right refuses to bring coffee because it was made at the start of the evening and doesn't offer to make a fresh pot because it is 9:00pm at night, that is a deal breaker, not to mention, the food was not as good as it has been in years past and we've grown tired of the antics that go on.

Tour has changed. In February it now included a trip to Animal Kingdom and the green houses and lunch was at Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. Holy fruit cobbler!
