Backlot Tour Participant?

I was just wondering if their is a trick to being chosen to be the "actors" in the first part of the backlot tour? Do they do it randomly or can you ask to participate?

If anyone knows please fill me in!!! Thanks!

I was asked on the old back lot tour. I was picked randomly as was my old man.

Last time I was there, they asked for volunteers right before the pre-show movie started.

My sister and I were picked to be in the back lot tour last february. We saw a cm walking through the waiting line pushing through everyone and she just stopped in front of me, asked how old I was, and If the girl next to me was my sister. She asked my dad if we could be a part of the show and in a matter of 2 minutes we were immortalized at WDW.

No secret or trick, just luck I guess!

My finace and I were at the back of the line of the people that they let in. You could always try asking to be part. It can't hurt.

I was picked for the backlot tour i made sure i stood right near the cast member and was arms a waving. Lots of fun.

I was first in line for the next group to go in and was asked, i was with my girlfriend who is now my fiance...Check out the Avatar, there we are. I have found that making yourself noticed helps as well.

My wife and I were picked a few years ago. To be honest my was trying to kill me or help me see things her way as she puts it, and the cm came over to us and asked if we were be interested.

We got asked our last trip....we had to act out the bombing scene in pearl harbor....the only bad thing is that the monitors are so glared up you can't see the replay of yourselves

I was in the TV one a few years back.. We couldn't tape it though. Copyright laws and all...

if you find a cast member and ask they they will put you in the next available tour and hold your group so they can seee you get pummled, i know cause ive done it many times

What is the age limit in order to participate. I am guessing it is probably 18, but i am just curious.
