Good Afternoon

Just had to give this little tid bit of info that was said on the tour this past weekend for the BackLot at MGM

Our tour guide mid way through the prop shop area mentioned that they had just finished work on some item(s) for Epcot's upcoming Mission:Space ride. No details where given but just thought I would share.

Also I noticed on the left hand side a broken down C3P0 and an R2D2 hmmm makes me wonder

We took the Backstage Magic tour a couple weeks ago and actually touched some of the ride units in the central shops. By looking at the units in various stages of completion it looks like the ride will out of this world (pun intended). We actually saw them loading some of the completed units in the back of the Mission:Space building also.

Great tour would recomend it to any WDW freak!!

Yep!

I, too, can confirm that the ride vehicles for MISSION:SPACE were sitting right out there in the open being painted in the Prop Shop on the BACKSTAGE MAGIC TOUR last week!

It was VERY cool to see, and I too, reccommend that tour to any Disney fan at least once in their life! It was truly the highlight of the week!

Finally it's almost here I garuntee it will be at least 5 years before any thrillride is built that could compare to Mission Space, this thing is going to be one helluva ride!

Meega, nala kwishta!
Just a FYI, we took the Backstage Magic Tour in October of 2002, and the M:S rides were there then too. They have been working on them for a long while. They were all lined up in different stages of completion.

Knowing Disney, this ride is probably the tip of the iceberg. They probably had this ride designed at least 5 years ago. If this is the case...imagine what they are designing now.

Very true indeed I probably should have thought about the fact MS was in development a couple years ago, but I could only imagine what their probably working on now I would personally like to see Disney do their own funhouse or an attraction with shadow puppets, I once saw a shadow puppets show that was pretty amazing it seemed like something Disney would do.

Under the sign... that's where the ladder was last seen. I bet you that ladder gets photographed everywhere it goes! Look how many pictures we have of it on this sit alone! :)
