Another backpack user here. The only issue I've had is finding a good place to put it while I get my picture taken with characters.

If you ask CM You can usually lay it by the CM at the M&G and they will watch it. That is what My girlfriend and I do.

Yes. Backpacks are allowed, and you can bring it on most rides. (An overly large backpack might give you a tough time on some close-quarters ride vehicles like Space Mountain)

Amen to this. I need to rethink how I repack my bags/waterbottle on my next Disney Trip. No room in Space Mountain.

on the backpack subject, i have a weird/random question. i would like to bring a fork with me for dining cuz i cant cut anything with the plastic ones. would that cause an issue at bag check? like would that be considered a weapon? just thought i would ask cuz ya never know lol thanks in advance!

You can use a backpack. I also make sure that when I'm about to go through security, I have everything open and ready to make the process go faster.

Put in it a zip-loc bag and in your pants pocket...they don't check there!!

Just want to add.... be mindful of the size of the backpack when wearing it. I've seen some that literally stick out a foot .
Uni lockers are terrible and so are the locker guards. We couldn't get back in to ours at the Hulk and they rudly insisted that we'd exceeded our time limit. He opened it and found he was incorrect. No apology.

If I'm in a "squeezed" situation", I make a point of removing it, especially if I'm in line. I carry it by the top loop in that case. Or if standing on a bus or the monorail, I put it on the floor between my legs.

We always bring a clear vinyl back pack to the parks. It's see through and the security guards Love it. It makes their job easier and and gets us through the lines a little quicker. You can buy them in almost any big box store.
