Hey all!!!!! Got back yesterday afternoon from WDW and had a MUCH needed vacation from work. Stayed at the CBR and although it was beautifully themed, my wife and I wont be going back mostly because of the bus situation. I guess we were a bit spoiled when we stayed at AOA last year but we had a wonderful experience all around and including not having to wait more than 10-15 minutes for a bus. At CBR we waited longer than we should have with Monday being a 40 minute wait and Friday being a 30 minute wait. Again, maybe we were a bit spoiled last year. There were some other small issues that alone might not have been a big deal but as a whole were.
The Villains Soiree was a good time but I would have liked to see it go for and hour and a half instead of an hour. I don't think it was rushed however an extra 30 minutes would have given us a bit more time with the characters. The desserts good imo and we got to take home some cool little items. The VIP section for the fireworks and parade was cool as we didn't have to fight as there was some good space. I MIGHT do it again down the road but I am satisfied for now.
Frozen was all over, of course, however it wasn't THAT bad as some people might say. Still have yet to see the movie as I am sure I will like. Only heard "Let it Go" once while I was down there. The Frozen building.....in HS.. with the ice skating and snowman making was pretty cool....no pun intended. There were other shows which we didn't go to which was good because the lines were CRAZY which worked out for us because we were in other less crowded places at those times.
In Epcot, we enjoyed the Maelstrom one last time and will be sad to see it go.
We had FP for the Mine Ride on Sunday and waited about 10 minutes and my wife and I both really liked it. Like most people are saying, it was shorter than we would have liked it to be, but it was a fun ride. We went back on it when the park opened on Tuesday, without FP, and waited about 20 minutes. Not too bad.
We went to the MNSSHP on Tuesday(Villains Soiree day), and again on Friday and had a great time both days. We had more rain than we would have liked and the humidity sucked but it is September. In return we did get good crowds with wait times being really low.
Loved the new Festival of Fantasy parade and might have liked it a bit more than the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade even though that was also great.
FINALLY saw The Enchanted Tiki Room!!! Yes, I know, I am an idiot waiting so long. Also saw Illuminations for the first time. Loved them both.
Ordered some cool art prints at the AOD store including 2 Disneyland Haunted Mansion paintings, 1 Pirates and 1 PeopleMover attraction posters.
Not too much new HM merchandise as they are most likely waiting for the new store to open in a couple of weeks.
Had some rough spots while we were there but overall had a great time. Thanks for reading.
