Staying at the Disneyland Hotel was the right decision. The Cast Members are all amazing. I speak conversational French but they went out of their way by speaking English and Spanish to me to make my family and I feel even more welcome.

The rooms and facilities are amazing! Ours had a view of Fantasia Gardens and the Main entrance to Disneyland Park. Plus we were fairly close to the Main Gate, Inventions, the Main Lobby and the Hotel Boutique.

Breakfast at Inventions was delicious. We are early risers, so we were some of the first people to eat, and always had a table with a view of the Castle.

Both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios are well themed, cool looking and only a few feet from the Hotel, so we got to park hop a lot with virtually no lines. Of course having Early Morning priviledges and VIP Fast Passes from the Hotel made a huge difference during our stay

DREAMS! The show is amazing. I have no words to describe it, except it's someone everyone must experience at least once in a lifetime. It puts both Fantasmic and World of Color to shame.

LOWS

Smokers: They were everywhere... while waiting for parades and shows, in lines to get on rides, outside hotel and park gates... I mean... WOW! We even had to ask the CMs a few times to ask people standing in line next to us to put out their cigarretes. Some were with little kids themselves.

Space Mountain Mission 2 was down... I was so looking forward to riding this coaster, but alas it didn't happen.

I wanted a picture with Remy at Cafe des Stars, but he never came to our table :( I did get to try some escargot and other yummy French food though.

Over all I had a great time thanks everyone at the resort. Look forward to going to Disneyland for the Holidays now, and hopefully Tokyo Disneyland sometime in the near future.

Good to hear that you enjoyed DLP! I agree with you that Dreams is just wonderful! I haven't seen World of Color, but for me it does indeed top Fantasmic. And while I would love to see high fireworks (they can't do them in Paris on a regular basis due to the residential neighbours), at the moment I prefer Dreams to Wishes. It just has such a wonderful story!

And I can tell you that you did not miss anything by not going on Space Mountain besides getting a headache. This was the first ride at DLP I fell in love with (rode it multiple times without getting off on my first ever morning there in 95), but I think I will not ride it again until it gets a full refurbishment. It is just so rough!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!

Great to see you had such a good time at a great Disney Park!

We love DLP and while it's not exactly WDW it is still a great place and we are heading back for trip number 5 in November!

Cannot wait to see Dreams in person, it is great to see DLP get a Nightime Spectacular to match such a beautiful Park :D

Crush Dude! I highly recommend you watch the show at least twice. Once from the back (of the hub/near Main Street), and once from the front row, near the castle . Two different "experiences" for sure.

We will probably watch it all 4 nights :D

It may be 3 times if it is on when Buffalo Bills wild west Show is on but we're hoping to watch it all 4 nights ;)

I saw it first from the far end of the hub and thought it was great, but then the next evening I saw it from near the front and thought it was much much better. I don't think you need front row, we were in the front half of the hub and I thought that was a great place to be able to still see everything but also to see the details.

Glad you enjoyed Paris! You have to be one of the first people I've heard compliment the Studios' theming!

Agree about the smokers. Even coming from the UK, Europe is awful for people smoking in public and I wish Disney would ban it in the parks as in the US

yeah, I wish they'd do that, but it'd be like trying to ban strollers and motorized scooters at the American parks...people would flip!!!
