I respect that and know that it tends to be a little tough in the inner-cities like New York, Philly, Boston, Chicago, LA, and Washington and we tend to be a little brash and rude. (Barnum42, your probably thinking we are yobs!! ) But that what comes from the upbringing. I grew up in a working class, blue collar neighborhood. Fists speak louder than words and talking your way out of a situation was a sign of wekaness. I guess that's why you always hear about fights in the football (american) and baseball stadiums of the cities since the less educated guy can't out-talk so he talks with his fists!
For all the times that I got popped in the head (by parents or otherwise) I am surprised I didn't dumb down a bit.
I think of a bumber sticker I see quite frequently traveling through the city to my parent's house, "My kid beat up your honor student". Definitely not the echelon of society displaying these on their cars but they make me laugh nonetheless!!
