OMG, this vacation went bye too, I mean TOO fast. Im really having some bad pdd, but in about 4 to 5 weeks, Ill be OK.

Well, I did some new things this year, and some of them were good, and some were bad. I finally rode the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and I really didnt like it. Once on that was enough for me. Its not becasue of the drop, its because of the spooky stuff in there, and it was too dark and really frieked me out. Even my dad reported(much later) that his heart was pounding when we were moving into the drop shaft. But since I had seen a video, I somewhat knew what to expect, or atleast I thought.

Did Its tough to be a bug, and that was OK, I had also seen some videos of it, and heard reviews about it, so I basically knew when all the 4d effects were coming, and so I stood up, and lifted up my legs whenever I felt one coming.

Finally walked all around World Showcase, and did the American Adventure(loved it) El rio del tiempo, Loved that too. And saw the miniature train thing in Germany.

At the Magic Kingdom, I finally saw the Hall of Presidents, and since we are now APs we were able to go in and out of the parks, anytime we wanted, and my brother loved going to Disney Quest almost every day after we went to the parks the second week of our vacation. My brother is one of those game people, so Im constantly teasing him about him going to the message boards to discuss games while he teases me about being to much into disney, and coming hear to talk about nothing in his eyes.

On splash Mountain, I noticed our first week that everything seemed to be working, and the second week somethingdidnt.confusedhe fastpasses as to why they closed down the left lane where the fastpass people used to go bye, where now once you get in the cave you have to go to the right lane with the standbye, which makes the fastpass and the standbye people go by even slower. My dad thinks its probably becasue of safety reasons, becasue probably some people in the standbye could be giving the fastpass people problems.

Saw construction for E:E, and it looks like its going to be the best thing on site, and I finally agree with you guys who said that Dino Rama is cheap and tacky. I totally agree now, and I now hope they get rid of it when EE opens.

I also noticed that some of the CMs looked a little bit worked up. One incident on BTMR our first week was the fast pass line somehow must have gotten mixed up with the standby, and made their line longer than ours, and one CM just couldnt take the complaints, and just started yelling at this other CM to come and help.

Well thats it for now, basically all I can think of for now, but Ill be back to report some more when I can remember. Thanks for reading

my simple suggestion would be not to watch a video of an attraction before you go on it. i have done that once and it really ruined the experience of actually being there and seeing everything in person for the first time.

i understand if you dont like the creapy stuff on ToT. i know that kind of stuff isnt for everyone.

wish i could go for 2 weeks................................ must be nice.

Yea, that does mess a few things up, but for that type of ride, I really needed to know what to expect, because then I really wouldnt have liked it. I may ride it again, if me and my dad go back but only if its daylight, I wanna experience the different ride sequences. I watched a couple of videos of other rides Id never been on and then rode them, and it was cool to be able to experience it after watching, but I think you are right.

If you stood up in front of me during a show I would be really mad and tell you to sit down (but that's just me!).

I agree, don't look at attraction videos before you go if you haven't seen the attraction before. If it wasn't scary or thrilling then it wouldn't be there long.

One, we were in the back, two the lights went off so nobody could tell I was standing in front of them, and three, there was so much chaos in the theater nobody would have even paid me no tention.

But if it were a regular show like the hall of presidents or some other show, I wouldnt disrupt the audience or cause inconvience for other guest. And if someone did have a problem with me standind up in a theater or something, I would feel better if they confronted me nicely about it, and depending on how they did, I would decide if I would listen or not. And this is just me.

Anybody have any insights on why they change the fastpass line on splash mountain. They closed off the left lane in the cave so now you have to enter with the standbye line instead of going all the way too the ride on the left lane.

And my response would probably be. "Yea when I feel like it." or probably like deal with it or something. It really depends on the mood of the whole situation.

But like I said before, I wouldnt do that in any other show unless it was some emergancy or something because Im usually not like that. esp. at my favorate place in the world. I want others usually smaller than me to enjoy themselves to.

But hey, if somebody really did say something like that to me, and my dads around, I wouldnt be there problem because then my dad would have been down that persons throat for being like that towards me.

Well OK, the spooky stuff didnt really scare me that much, its just that it was so dark in the whole thing leading into the big drop. My guess as two why it was so dark was because we rode it at night. But my question is, if I rode it in the day time would it be that dark going into the drop shaft after he says something like, "You're about to find out what lies on beyond the fifth dimension and in............ the twilight zone." I couldnt even tell the doors opened and we were looking out at the studio hardly, but I did manage to give a thumbs up and short smile at the camara.

Another problem I had was that the entire ride was built on the story(which is a good story BTW, and I just recently started looking at the twilight zone on scifi, and that also motivated me to ride it even more.) that by the rime you finally got to the drop, it was more like you just bouncing up and down, and it wasnt like I was really falling. I know that they pull you down instead of drop you, but it didnt feel like we were being pulled all the way down except for like 2 ft then we go up and down again at the same lenght. My dad didnt know what to expect at all, so throughout the entire first portions he kept telling me to hold on, and I kept telling him what was about to happen.

Time for me to unnessessarily jump into a fight ONLY because the one guy is from philly. My question to you Mr Reason 14, why post a long trip report in a rumors forum? I read that entire blah blah and waited for the punchline and there was none. Why post this and then talk about how tough you and your father are?? hahah

It's been a few years since I've been in 'Tough to be a bug' but isn't the 4d stuff when your seat moves or there is a sensation that you're being touched? If so, isn't this what makes this ride fun? Standing up to avoid the sensation is sort of like saying, "I knew the big hill on Splash Mountain was coming so I exited the boat and took the stairs down...."

Where else am I spose to put it. The trip report thing nobody reads it there, and it is like news. If you didnt enjoy this post than why read it then tell me you didnt like it, just dont read any more of my threads. If you read the topic than maybe you would be able to tell what the threads about. hahah to you.

The only reason I started stated stuff like that because he was. I wasnt saying how tough I am, maybe in your eyes if so than you looked at it the wrong way. I was just saying if that did happen, then my father WOULD do something, so I was only telling the truth.

You are very mature to come here and say what you said the way you did.

Now, he may be from philly, but I come from a place of my own, now I can be ignorant, or immature on any forum I want, but I dont here because this is a different setting than the other places I visit, I try to be as civil as possible, but If I do become immature and ignorant its only because somebody got me that way. Im usually not, esp. not here.

So this is probably as mature as I can be for now. BTW this is a trip report not a battlefield. Nobody still has answered my question about splash.

Maybe to you but not to me. Ill probably feel that effect next time, but for first timers like me, I didnt.

Let me assure all you other first timers out there that the 4d effects are pretty innoucuous (so much so that I barely remember what they were, exactly) and caused no un-due scars or mental anguish.

Not to minimize your sensitivity, I'm just hoping that some other newbie doesn't miss out on the fun in order to avoid a few tame tricks...

This is what I said that precipitated all this stuff:

Then I got the warning that his dad would try to thump me. I don't know what they teach 15 yr olds in Texas but when I was growing up in my neighborhood, if some kid threatened to get his dad, we would tell him to go ahead and go get him. We didn't back down and certainly didn't need to get 'daddy' involved in our disagreements, especially when telling someone to sit down.

The only reason I keep bringing this back is because you do. Immature, sure. But fun nonetheless!

BTW, people do read the trip report forum so please post any future reports like this one there.

OK, I think you misunderstood what I was saying, I wouldnt have asked my dad to defend me, if somebody like you said something to me like that, without asking him, he would jump in and go ignorant, I would probably have to calm him down.

But if he wasnt there, I surely would have said something to you.

And what Im being taught down here in H town is of course different from where you are, the teens there getting taught. Different place Different culture, and please respect that.
