Alright intrepid followers, I’ve got a little (extremely easy) game for you this morning. We did 5 attractions this morning at Magic Kingdom (8:30-10:30). Here’s some not quite obscure enough pictures to guess four of those five (the fifth will get a separate post later).

Starting the morning with a super easy one.
IMG_4279.jpeg

Next up a little bit more difficult attraction.
IMG_4284.jpeg

Our third ride is likely easy no matter what. And this post is even easier than easy.
IMG_4285.jpeg

Our fourth activity is waiting for a later post. But here’s what we did fifth.
IMG_4287.jpeg

And now it’s time for some food!!

You both are truly amazing to have accomplished your challenge in that heat!

I totally agree with you on all your points too!!! Guests should not enter a queue if their entire party is not together yet. Those types of things NEVER used to happen at WDW say 15 years ago but something changed, and I sure wish they had Cast Members that would intervene when it does. We did a four-park challenge many years ago, but we definitely didn't accomplish as many attractions in each park.

Looks like you hit Peter Pan first things this morning, the CAT poster has me stumped (is it possibly Laugh Floor?), Haunted Mansion and then The Main Street Railroad Train? Try and stay as cool as possible today!

I think the cat poster is Jungle Cruise.

Yup, started our morning with Pan, then Jungle Cruise right at normal park opening, Haunted Mansion after that... followed by the mystery attraction... and ended our morning on the railroad. Certainly a much slower pace than yesterday!!!! But still a good time.

So, what was the mystery attraction this morning...

The Tiana AA on the first big hill is really impressive. I just wish you couldn't see her 'dormant' between ride vehicles. Maybe they can just add her fidgiting around a little bit or looking out the window.

Just something fun about Louis as gourds.
IMG_2946.jpg

The first of multiple critter musicians along the way. Sorry for the focus, they were jamming out way too quickly.
IMG_2953.JPG

Time to get turned small to find the little musicians! Mama Odie was also a really good animatronic.

When you are small...

Shockingly, there's a big party at the end with all kinds of musicians having a good time.

After our relatively slow morning, it was time for a VERY late breakfast seating at Chef Mickey's. Is it the best food around? No. Is it the best setting for a meal? No. Are the characters unique and exciting? No. Is it totally chaotic and often times bordering on insanity? Yup. Do we still enjoy it and laugh out loud at both characters and guests?? Heck yeah.

Hanging with my guy, Goofy. It looks like I might need to drop a few pounds if I'm going to have a future career as a friend of Goofy...
IMG_2996.JPG

Next up was Pluto. Just as we got to our table we overheard some excited kids noticing Pluto coming into the area and yelling - "Look, there's Goofy!!" I guess all dogs look alike???
IMG_3005.JPG

Evidently Mickey needed to take a load off for a few minutes. I'm not sure why? A few hours of wearing the outfit and running around to hundreds of overstimulated and full-of-sugar kids shouldn't make him tired.
IMG_3009.JPG

Mickey also decided I had to get in the action, too.
IMG_3010.JPG

By the time we saw Donald, there had been one of the dance parties that are evidently now a part of the festivities. YIKES!! Poor Donald was in the hot seat with at least 15 little kids running and dancing around him for a few minutes. If anyone needed a break, it was him.
IMG_3015.JPG

And, last but most certainly not least, Minnie - who let us know that she was a bit jealous of the girls sparkly ears today.
IMG_3020.JPG

After breakfast/lunch, we decided to do a little shopping and went over to Cast Connections. The girls spent about an hour going through all the older and discounted stuff and came out with a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff... for less than $50. Actually, it might've even been better than that in terms of deals, but I didn't see the receipt - I might've been napping in one of the chairs that was for sale (they sell off the old furniture from resorts there).

Now it's a little bit of down time at the hotel before heading to Hoop-Dee-Doo for dinner tonight!

It looks like you all had a fun time with Mickey and Friends at your character breakfast! I used to be a cast member for our local Disney Store back in the mid 1990's and I used to be able to visit the cast member stores at WDW which allowed me to pick up some nice finds!

Hoop De Doo!!

Too much food and drinks and very good entertainment as always. Highly recommended.

Our daughter was a little wary (as was I the first time) of the hokey humor and old fashioned-ness, but was quickly won over. The musicians are simply beyond compare and on this night there was some great audience moments.

This morning has again been at a slower, more vacation-y pace. Of course I was up early and did some laundry, so here’s your sunrise over the Turtle Pond pool.
IMG_4289.jpeg

Once the girls were up and laundry was done we headed over to Disney Springs for a movie! In fact, I’m typing this in the theatre as we wait for it to start.
IMG_3043.jpeg

On the way to our theatre I ran into an old friend. We are very close and have lots of memories together, so it was great to see him this morning (although I remember him being a bit softer).

First of all... Inside Out 2 is most excellent. Highly recommend to anyone who ever was a teenager, anyone who is a teenager, anyone who had a teenager, anyone who has a teenager, or anyone who might someday have a teenager. Yeah, it's really well done and obviously lots of thought and research went into it. Well done, Pixar.

After the movie, the girls went and got some henna tattoos (a semi-regular thing) while I went back to the garage to get the car and meet them on the Marketplace side of Disney Springs. We then decided that we'd better use the Guardians passes that I scored while doing my early morning laundry. I had actually gotten group 8, so we were a little late for that. But we did get to ride and got "I Ran" for the song (which I have not gotten before) and since I hadn't eaten in a bit, no real stomach distress (despite my pose for the picture).

IMG_3191.JPG

After that, we did a brief relax back at the room and then it was off to our 'fancy' night out for this trip with dinner at the California Grill. Although I'm not a huge fan of the 3 course price fixe routine, the food is always really amazing and the view is the best. Our daughter is friends with one of their greeters/hosts, so we got a little extra nice treatment which is a nice plus.

Always nice to have this view during your evening meal.

After dinner, we decided to head into Magic Kingdom and enjoy at least one attraction. Since our daughter is a CM, she doesn't often get into MK on her pass, but tonight it was available for her to visit, so we wanted to do something in there with her on this trip! And, we went big with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We entered the park at almost exactly 9pm so we figured with fireworks about to start, it was likely the shortest that line was going to get. It was still showing as 40 minutes on the app and at the start of the queue, but we only waited about 20 minutes total.

This pictures is from the ride itself. Pretty cool!
IMG_3091.JPG

As we excited the ride, watched a couple fireworks go off over the dwarfs cottage.
IMG_3098.JPG

And then watched the rest of the show from just outside the queue area, which meant we got the fireworks over Beast's castle instead of Cinderella!!
IMG_3137.JPG

IMG_3141.JPG

Although we did occasionally look back over our shoulders to catch some castle pyro as well!!
IMG_3158.JPG

Many years ago, we would regularly watch the fireworks from back there (before projections became such a big part of the show), so it was nice to get that view once again and enjoy things from a different perspective.

Glad you enjoyed the movie! We love California Grill although we do feel like it's too much food with the fixed price menu but as you mentioned that view is truly the best of all the restaurants at WDW! It looks like you all had such a nice evening together!
Really loving your trip report. Have just joined this forum but have been reading everyone’s trip reports for quite awhile. Looking forward to your next instalment.
