And #18 was really just an excuse to relax in cool air.

Our plan had been to hit 3 Cabs, Misdion Space, and Spaceship Earth, but weā€™ve decided a little break to relax is in order so we are heading back to Old Key West for a bit. Also so we can spend a few minutes with our daughter (who took a chill day) before she heads to work this evening. So, Iā€™ll see yā€™all real soonā€¦ in Magic Kingdom.

Itā€™s a Small World when you do 24 attractions in 4 parks.

Met up with the ā€˜hostā€™ of the competition who, despite us being the only folks who really competed, gave us an awesome prize. Iā€™ll share later!

But nowā€¦ on the monorail back to MK to catch our bus back to OKW. Thatā€™s 30, right??

Iā€™m so jealous you got to see Dreams that Soar! We tried a few weeks ago when we were there and waited and waited and it ended up being cancelled due to ā€œhigh windsā€. We were so disappointed! Iā€™m headed back this month and may try for take 2. šŸ¤žšŸ¼

You all had such a fun day at AK yesterday and I love that you have a favorite hangout bar at OKW. We enjoy Geyser Point a lot when we stay at WL and will sometimes hang at the bar at BC when staying there. Good luck with your four park challenge today!!!

We really like Geyser Point as well. Only gotten over there a couple times since it opened, but definitely a great hang out. The intimacy of Gurgling Suitcase is pretty much unmatched - which is both a blessing and can be a little bit of a curse. There are only 6 chairs at the bar, a tiny back bar with a couple chairs, and two tables - one a two top and one a four top. So, generally, when you are there... you end up knowing everybody else in the place before you leave! But, there often isn't anywhere to sit inside.

Sorry you didn't get to see it. We were a little worried about winds and they sent up a few little 'test' flights before the show. They also started about 5 minutes early because of concerns about storms in the area - so not sure if the later show actually happened. It never did start storms right at Disney Springs, but I think the breeze may have kicked up a little bit more later.

Yes, we were up this morning before 7am. No, it doesn't make any sense. And, yes, we are likely about to head over to Magic Kingdom... might've secured a pretty early Tiana boarding group.

A couple thoughts from yesterday...

#1 - dang it was hot. What were we thinking? Shoulda bailed out like the others did!!! First comment from the host of the challenge - 'you smell pretty good for having been out all day in this!'

#2 - there are a lot of people in the world who have zero respect for anyone but themselves. Kinda sucks. Over the course of 30 attractions, we easily found ourselves pushed back a cumulative 30 people in line due to the 'oh, my party is just up there' followed by some excuse, or just people pushing through and pointing forward abstractly. GET YOUR WHOLE FREAKING PARTY TOGETHER BEFORE YOU GET IN THE QUEUE. The worst was Small World where a single guy in front of us then got his group of 7 to join a ways into the line - and the dang CM helped by taking down chains for them!!!! (also, please note... GET OFF MY LAWN!)

#3 - there are at least a few people in the world who are just awesome. Talked to a number of people throughout the day who were very nice and seemed (at least in a Disney queue) like genuinely decent human beings. Shoutout to the two guys from Canada (originally Boston) at Philharmagic. Hope they had a great dinner with Cinderella during fireworks!

#4 - 10 miles is a lot of wear on my feet. I have some foot issues (plantar fasciitis) and yesterday was tough. But some foot rub and Advil certainly helped. Kinda shocked I'm not in that much pain this morning.

#5 - I'm not diving into the whole attendance down and Disney is doomed discussions, but for our activity yesterday it was pretty nice that we didn't end up in any lines over 35 minutes and really other than Haunted Mansion, I don't think we spent more than 15 minutes in any single line. Had we REALLY been in full commando mode, I suspect we could've done at least 35 attractions and maybe gotten close to 40 - but we took a couple hours off in the afternoon and left MK at 8:30pm (so we left an hour and a half unused there, too). Maybe we'll try again?? (silently curses himself out)

Most seen view of the day?
