Hello. Hi. Talk to me.

The Bacardi tour is definitely meh. If you want free rum samples, you can get them in Old San Juan at Casa Don Q.

San Juan is the most well preserved Spanish Colonial City in the Americas, there are two forts (El Morro and San Cristobal), as well as lots of places to eat, drink, and shop.

If you have the time, rather than do that, arrange a rainforest excursion. They're usually timed with the cruises, so there's no risk of missing the boat.

Or do what I do. Find a bar, enjoy life, and walk around. With a camera.

Yup. Visited some years ago and Casa Don Q was great for free samples. El Yunque, the national park/rainforest, is great to visit as well! Try food! Mofongo, empanadas, pasteles, tostones, arroz con gandules, pernil, yucca, etc. etc. etc. Of course, being puerto rican and being married to a puerto rican makes my mouth water just thinking about these foods, LOL! Buen provecho!!!

It's the wet season right now, there will be bugs, but not many. Our rainforest is in the mountains, so it's a bit cooler than the rest of the islands (that means fewer bugs). When do you plan on coming? And yes - bring bug spray.
