Babysitting

We are planning a Grand Gathering in October. We are staying at the Pop Century and my mother-in-law asked me about babysitting for my niece and two nephews. She has some secret event planned for one evening for the adults. I know that the Deluxe Resorts offer kids clubs and in-room babysitting, but is there anything available for those staying in a Value Resort? Any ideas? Thanks!

I think there are only 3 recommended babysitting services, they are not Disney run. They will come to any of the Disney resorts. I hope this info helps!

I'm pretty sure that any disney resort guest can use the clubs at the deluxe resorts. I would call disney to double check. I wonder what the surprise will be?

We used Kids Nite Out in July and they were great. I was very nervous about leaving my kids with a stranger but she was very professional and brought activities for the kids. They loved her.

If you are looking for in room baby sitting the mentioned places are the ones to try. If the kids are a little older I would definitely recommend using one of the deluxe resorts kid clubs. They are supposed to be a lot of fun, and kids usually love them. You can reserve them by calling Disney dining.

Anyone can use the clubs at the Deluxe resorts, even non-Disney resort guests. I can highly recommend the Neverland club at the Poly. Our youngest daughter has been there twice and did not want to leave the club either time. Like all thing Disney it is very well themed. To get to Neverland you child will be sprinkled with pixie dust and walk through a window. You will need to call ahead to reserve a spot, preferably at least a day or two before you kids will be there as it does fill up.

When our son was six, we used the on-sight service at the Poly. It is Peter Pan themed, and he looked it. The next day, he asked if he could go back. We were not staying at the Poly, but it did not matter.

Thanks for all the input and advice! I am glad to hear that the kid's clubs are available, but one of my nephews is just turning 3 years old while we are there and I think he might be below the cut-off? Does anyone know the ages for Neverland? Thanks again.

From All Ears:

Some deluxe resorts offer child care services on-site for Disney resort guests. In some cases these services are also available to off-site guests. (Call to determine availability.)

Age: Childcare is provided for children over age 4 who are potty-trained, through age 12. Resorts will not make exceptions.

What if my child is too young for one of the clubs? Or what if I'd prefer to have a babysitter come to our room?

There are several services if you'd rather have the babysitter come to your room. Reservations for these services are necessary. Rates and other special requirements vary by service.
