Babysitting service need help

Hey guys and gals, I am here to ask for help once again.

I want to know if anyone has used the babysitting service.
I will be at Disney World on OCT 10th staying at the Swan
and wanted to go to PI after the MNSSHP. I have been reading about the in room services but wanted to hear from you all. I am very protective (like all parents), and need to know if you guys think that these services are good. My son is 2 1/2 years old.

I think he will be asleep after the MNSSHP so I don't think he will be much of a hassle.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that a lot of the services tend to expect you back by midnight.

Camp dolphin hours are 6 p.m. until 11p.m. If you want a sitter later than that, there is a service that advertises on my website.

When DW and I went down in Jan with our 3 month old dauther and her parents, we used Fairy Godmothers one night so that all of us "adults" could go out to Cali Grill and PI afterwards without worrying about DD. I wish I could remember our babysitter's name (maybe DW can, if she reads this), but she was great. We had no problem leaving DD with her for the evening. We were very happy with Fairy Godmothers and will use them again when we bring DD with us to WDW in Nov of 2004 (when she's 2+).

We used the service that is recommended by Disney (I think it was Kids Nite Out?) for our 2yo last year, and were very satisfied. We talked to them and to Fairy Godmothers on the phone before making arrangements, and they seemed better like the better choice to us. The FG person was basically just taking a reservation, but the Kids Nite Out person asked questions about our child's personality, what he liked to do, etc... Of course, that could have just been the person on the phone and had nothing to do with the actual sitter. I think Kids Nite Out had more payment options available, too.

I think that we were out from about 7 to midnight; I don't know if there were any restrictions on the time we had to be back.

I have heard good things about Fairy Godmothers. Infact we made arangments to have them sit one night when DD was 23 months old. Instead she got an ear infection that trip and we used the $ to take her to Centra Care instead. (also I wouldn't leave her when she was a little under the weather.) As I undersand it most of FG sitters are older women (non smokers.) I have also heard good things about Kids Night Out.


All the info about WDW in room sitter I learned at www.disboards.com the family forem. If you do a search over there you will find alot of info. Be careful there is a open thread bashing people who use in room sitter, just ignore that.

The kindercare service is really good also. You can be back anytime, they used to be $10. an hour and watch the kids in your room. And will take them out if you give your permission. If you feel ok about them taking your kids to the park you must request someone with a pass.

They do a major check on them through the FBI. I did it for a couple months when I first worked at Disney. I had parents come back after PI closed2 and 3 in the morning.

Disney gets you in touch with them it's considered in room babysitting when you call.

Hint-- They don't get paid $10 an hour more like $6.00 so make sure to tip them!!

The last 2 times down we used a service called All About Kids. We thought the sitter was wonderful (we plan to use the same service and sitter our next trip). We had great experiences with this service. I think it's $11/first kid and $1/each additional, with a transportation fee ($8.00?). Certainly worth it to get some adult time!
