How do u exactly do the baby-swap.We are taking our 3 and 6 year old kids and i know my 3 year old will not ride much but my boy is tall enough for majority of the rides. I need to know. I have alot of planning books that mention it but do not describe it in detail. Thanks in advance.I dont know what i would do if i didnt find u guys before my trip!

...as a general rule, go to the CM at the entrance to each of the attractions and ask him/her for a baby swap pass ..... you may have to bring your family there so they can see the baby....the baby swap is tantamount to a fast pass and once your spouse has gone thru the attraction with the 6 year old, you'll be able to ride with the 6 year old also...Disney wants both parents to be able to enjoy the attraction with the older kids...very well thought out.

...hope this helps a little.

I only did it on RnR and all we did was walk up to the greeter at the line entrance and told him that we wanted to do a kid switch. Then whoever is going on first waits on the regular line while the other person waits with the child. They give you a fastpass good for anytime to go ride when the other person gets off.

Dec 2001 was my first trip with a baby and there for, first with baby swap.
We found it interesting that some rides gave you a "fast pass" for the second parent, and others lead you around back to trade off with the baby. Trading off is much faster, the fast pass takes about 10 mintues longer. I asked a cast memeber how the baby swap ticket were any different then a fast pass, he said that more then one person (up to 3 I belive) can use one ticket. Your older child can ride the ride 2 times.

Here is how it worked for us.

MK:
SM and TM, BS ticket (didn't do SP didn't feel like getting wet) Skiped AI all together.

AK, Dino: lead you around back

Epcot: Test Track : around back

MGM RR, around back. Start Tours, one parent went on the ride,(mom) the other (dad) stood in line with the kid, when the first ride was over dad walked on with baby, passed her on to mom who walked out and dad rode. Didn't feel like TT this trip.

Most other rides the baby went with us and liked it, even the safri at AK. (oh yah, she didn't like the 3 4 movies.)

I think with this method you can use one fast pass to get both parents in. When we were there, it wasn't that busy and didn't really need them.
With the BS tickets one parent can go on a different ride, while the first parent rides and trade off.

Have a great trip.

TIP:

If one of your children are a tad to short under the measuring stick ..... Add a rolled up sock in each shoe of the child's..... That would help the height of your child.... You never know your 6 yr old child could ride RnR lol.............. No it wont hurt your child if he's a little shorter then the requirment..... It's not going to hurt em' .....

Your 6 year old will LOVE the little one! My 6 year old just loved getting to ride the "Big Rides" twice when we did a baby swap. Wish I could say that her little brother felt the same about her!
