Avoiding the crowds if possible...

I almost always travel to WDW in mid Sept. or Oct. and have also been there during Halloween and I have not had any trouble with crowds while we were there. Things are very quiet at this time of year and many rides you will be able to just about walk on or have a short wait. I cant say for sure what days to visit what parks, but a good Disney guide book will probably have all that information.

During the week, not the weekend. You're visiting in off-season anyway, so the lines won't be over 30 minustes, and that would be the absolute longest. The parks are usually dead during September, but Oct-Nov aren't so bad, everything will be under 30 mins wait time, with the exception of maybe Everest, or some of the more popular rides, but even those won't be so long. lol.

i am going to WDW (Florida) from September 25-30. I cannot wait. My girlfriend of 3 years and I are going alone this time. Should be a blast. I was wondering. Has anyone been during September? Is it some-what "dead" at this time? I hope so. This will be my 29th vacation to the "world".

I'm thinking that October is the best time of the year to go! Crowds are very manageable and the weather is wonderful, not too hot or cold.

Enjoy!

When arriving at MK in the morning, it's best to go left and hit the attractions (Big Thunder, Splash Mtn, Pirates)... In the morning, the crowds generally go right and hit tomorrowland first, so the left side of the park is somewhat empty.

September has mostly been good to me - apart from 2004 when they had that glut of hurricanes and I had to reschedule.
