They ran the TRON-o-rail into the ground in more ways than one, Coral was one of the best trains to drive, and with the extreme mileage that came out of the TRON tour, it will never be the same again. I wish Disney would take better care of their assets. At least they didn't run t to the ground like they did to the Tron skin...
And yet another monorail loses its "D"s
You think so? That would really suck. How hard would it be to put the "D" decals on?
I thought it was a painted on stencil - could be wrong though
Coral, Silver, peach, Teal all lost them on repaints
The sad part is the D's are simply stenceled on and it takes minimal time and effort to apply them. Oddly enough, Yellow was repainted after Silver and Yellow got the D's and Silver did not. The D's were applied to both sides of Cab 1 and Cab 6, but I believe that Black is missing one somewhere. And there is one on Gold that was applied way too high! That really bothers me. Is it really that hard for them to paint them on? They did it for years and then one day just decided they weren't going to bother anymore it seems. I feel like I remember seeing one train with just the "D" on one side, or maybe it was just on Cab 1 or Cab 6 and not the other. I could be totally wrong on that one, but for some reason I feel like I saw it a year or two ago and was just baffled. I apologize if I'm not remembering this correctly.
Actually, Red was banned from Epcot with the Avengers wrap. Some agreement with Marvel and the train being IN the park.im sad lol...i remember back in early spring reading on here about the avenger wrap being put on and i was excited! we had a trip planned in late april-early may and i was pumped to see it riding above us at epcot and around the world...of course it has to go though. it just reminds me of our last trip there. I wonder what will be on when we return in april 2014?
Sad but true.I suspect someone's trying to save on hours and made a stupid call. But this is how things get lost in the cracks. I want to find out more.
If the new paint is similar to Coral - they didn't actually repaint the train (which Coral was supposed to be - the current paint job and areas that were not repainted look terrible) just the areas that were painted to match the wrap, so just the cabs and roof.Saw red today.. New paint is looking good! Seems slightly darker than the previous stripe.
I hear yaThumbs DOWN to whomever is responsible at WDW for removing the iconic "D" Logo from the monorails one by one...
Some of these cuts are beyond "LAZY" but are in fact quite "L A M E" ......
