Holy flip holy flip holy flip
See...I learned from my mistakes...
Any of the big reviewers who lauded a certain movie last year around Christmas...I discarded as mouthpieces for the Hollywood money shakers.
That includes time, the times, the LA times, and the post...so if you throw those types out, what you see so far is critics from more “fan friendly” outlets saying it fits with marvel and builds to what appears to be the end next year.
...I’ll take it. We can’t reasonably expect more.
What I don’t want is a movie that makes me actually nauseous when I walk past the blu Ray in Target 4 months later...which has happened alot over the last month.
I remember your hatred for that movie (I didn't find it nearly as bad as you, but it was much less than I expected). I will say this. That movie was just beloved by critis, but got destroyed by fans (wasn't it like 93% loved it from critics and 50-50 from fans?). Audience scores after night 1 are like 93% from the common viewer, so I do have hopes for this one.
When are you planning on seeing Infinity War?I think movies is the one exception where the public can be trusted more tha the “experts”...
We want some fun...and a few fist pumps...and something you can look fondly back at later...
That movie I referred to...didn’t do it at all...and worse yet, it’s some sci fi “quirky” new direction...which is just a complete misread by the studio and the consumer products division.
I think this movie is gonna deliver...and I’m actually encourage for the one coming out next month...but we’ll get to that
I'll be seeing Infinity War again (the boyfriend wants to see it with me after we watch all 18 of the previous MCU installments together... which I literally just finished doing on my own this week), but I'm not sure if it has the appeal for repeat viewings in theater, unlike Avengers and Black Panther (saw the first Avengers 4 times in theaters summer 2012, and have so far gone to see BP 3 times). I'm not talking IMAX/ or Cinemark XD, but ordinary cinema viewings. The runtime is only a little longer than Civil War, but like that movie, it is emotionally draining at times. By the end of Infinity War, I was a sobbing wreck. Sure, I'll know that the scenes are coming, but crying in public like that is something I try to avoid.
If I see it in a couple weeks, I think I'll be able to hear all of the jokes... and all of the dialogue that was said after the jokes.I need to go see it at least once more as there was so much going on.
The average of critics' rating from RT and MetaCritic is 72. That puts it right in the middle of all MCU movies. That's 5 points higher than Age of Ultron and 3 points lower than the first Avengers.

Iron Man
I take it you feel their stories are similar. Two jerks all the way up to the ending?Right...though I’m curious why doctor strange and avengers didn’t make your list?
