Avengers 4!

I was home sick yesterday and watched Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man 2. What bothers me the most about IH and IM2 is that both have stellar casts, but okay plots (but both movies are leagues better than Man of Steel, Justice League and Suicide Squad, and some X-Men movies). I would love to see Sam Rockwell pop up again, but that's probably never going to happen. Also, it was kind of nice watching it and having no mentions of Infinity Stones. None. Just plots based on Earth in this reality.
IM2 was rushed due to Disney fast tracking The Avengers so they had to get Cap and Thor out too. Jon Favreau had a better script for it. Oh well, it's all paid off.

Do you happen to know what the script was? I just noticed for the first time that Justin Theroux wrote IM2
As far as I know Jon Favreau didn't have a final script for Iron Man 2, only a fleshed out treatment. Rumor at the time (and after) was it would have not worked with the tone and plans for the rest of what they wanted the MCU to be.* Parts of the Iron Man 2 script were adapted from earlier Iron Man scripts that were discarded and the rest had to fall into place with the upcoming plans.

*The fairly substantial rumor was it was originally was superposed to be akin to the Demon in a Bottle and Stane take over arcs but there was a lot of concerns from the execs and RDJ was a bit reluctant to go that route as well.

I remember the Demon in a Bottle rumor floating around for Iron Man 3 too. Of the two films, I think IM2 probably adapted it a little more... but then stopped like halfway through the movie. Everyone really seemed to want that story adapted, except the filmmakers.
