Hi! I was wondering how you get animated avators? There so cool! I would love to have one! Thanks for any help!

You could shake your monitor, or use one of the many that have been produced for the comps, or ask some1 to do 1. Id have a go but im still learning myself.

Katherine, it's not a very complicated process, but you do need the proper software to create an animated gif. Basically, an animated gif is a series of gif images that are displayed one after another. You can set certain properties like the display time of each image and looping of the entire gif (loop X times, or loop forever).

In short, you need two or more gif images (which you need to create yourself or find somewhere else) and an application to string together the gif images. I use Paint Shop Pro which comes with "Animation Shop" to animate gifs. Also note that these animated gifs must be under 20K in size or you will not be able to use them as an avatar on this board (or just about any other board).
