Avatar Problem

I created my own avatar-pic on MS Windows 98 PAINT


The size is 5KB....why wont it let me use it...i went to click the browse button and then i added it and it gave me the EPCOT avatar...

It's doing it to everyone at the moment. I've got the same problem. I don't know whats wrong.

Here is how to set a custom AVATAR (picture by your name on the left)


- USER CP
- EDIT OPTIONS
(Scroll to the bottom)
- select CHANGE AVATAR
(scroll to bottom of screen)
- in the CUSTOM AVATAR section, ensure YES is selected, and hit BROWSE to search your PC for the avatar that you would like to use

The maximum file size is 19K
The maximum dimensions are 150 pixels x 150 pixels

that size you have there is correct - I was factoring in a safety margin

Mine is 125x69 and it is still not working. actually no custom avatars are working now, only the ones you have us to choose from. I really want my avatar back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you are following the instructions exactly - specifically the YES part.

I am. I am pressing the browse button choosing the avatar. Then I press yes and submit changes. But on the main screen it says no avatar selected.

It is working for me now. I finally got my avatar back!!!

My one is still not working. I've followed the instructions EXACTLY and it's one i've had on before, so i know its not too big, but it still wont work. It's only happenned since you put the other avatars up there.

v means I am having the same problem as this individual, and I followed the same exact steps, but I still get the same picture

Make sure

When you hit browse and select your picture, the yes button above the avatar picture will NOT be selected. Click that button again BEFORE you click update. Hope this helps!!

Tried that - nope! still not working. Getting the message file too big, but it not! :hammer:
