To be honest, I think that if Pandora does fall through, we're going to be left without an expansion for a very long time... At this point, a recent popular franchise is the only likely way a new land is going to happen.

I have no doubts that Disney can create a stunningly awesome version of Pandora and for that I hold out hope for the project. I know its a very small sample but my circle of Disney fanatics all did the same thing when they heard about this. "Really? Avatar? Thats seems kind of odd for the animal kingdom." While I hope for the best, if tomorrow they said they scraped Avatar land for a star-wars expansion or beastly kingdom I would jump for joy. Not that I hate Avatar, its just not in the top 20 things I would like to see at the park. That doesnt mean they cant do some amazing things, its just not my favorite theme.
