I assume you meant spring 2017 or summer 2017, not 2016. i am hoping it is spring as we will be there the end of march and was hoping for some soft openings although it seems like a huge long shot. i had heard earth day 2017 which is only a few weeks after we will be there. either way, it is looking awesome and i will schedule a trip whenever it does open up.
Almost certainly like 99% the land itself will be open for all guests for at least sometime in that timeframe unless some crazy technical issue happens. If they do AP previews it pretty much is sealed for Cast Members. It depends on if they can get things done in time.
I would guess they would try to get it done by June. Remember they are already testing the lighting in a corner of the land.

It doesn't look like the interactive flooring etc. but instead background forest lighting. Still, it shows that they really do want it to open ASAP.

It looks like spotlights, they could be, but it again would be in a way the testing of it more so than a full installation. @danlb_2000 do you know if permits have covered installation yet?
im not an insider but im pretty confident it will be open by then
read on OU that Boat ride is done and two theaters are done with the other two to soon be done only thing thats stopping this from opening sooner is the outdoor part
