With it being a part of Disneyland Forward, it makes sense as to why they've only been teasing it and not committing. The parks blog is the first instance of Disney saying this is what we actually plan to add with Disneyland Forward

It is a shame because EPCOT was really on a role with that in its first decade. And it has all been diminished and reduced now.

id rather them invest into a massive avatar land in paris with SHanhai Potc Avatar ride, FoP, and another small ride as well as JoW style interactive water pathways all around it and a couple food options...give me a massive full fledged multride land exclusive to Paris and give me a reason to go to paris.

My exact thought as well with the size and shape. I think it will be a shorter indoor outdoor version where you get screen based scenes inside and boat is back outside for kinetic energy.

It really does start to sound like this could be part of the Disneyland Forward expansion, and not included in existing park space?

Technically if they use some of the bus transpo zone that is also DL Forward.

That wasn't a real announcement. It was a vague "Yeah we're looking into over the next couple years" statement to get a reporter off their back. It was no commitment, they can easily just scrap the whole area.
