Wait, Monsters closes in January? I might have to pop over there and give it a ride. I always forget it's there, but riding it reminds me of going to DCA in like 2007 or so. So its oddly nostalgic, even though it's not something I think of when I think of DCA.

Yeah it does. It’s grown on me over the years. I’d like it even more if they removed LL and it was like a 15-20 min wait vs a 45 minute wait. Its location also doesn’t help it very much. I actually think it’s a solid dark ride. Much better than Mermaid. Too bad they couldn’t find a way to save it. With it going you actually only have a net gain of one family friendly attraction and two attractions total. Granted, I expect all 3 of the new attractions to be much greater in scope/ scale than Monsters Inc. Could have really played a nice role as an “easy” attraction amongst all the new attractions if they removed the LL along with Mermaid.

EDIT: just double checked. I don’t think they ever said January. I only see “early 2026.” Somewhere along the line I probably assumed that that meant January after the holidays. But technically if we take them at their word, the latest it has is until about March.
