I've only been to WDW once, and that was in Nov/Fall. For me everything that has been super good in my life has happened in the Fall-so it was only fitting that going to WDW fell into that time frame of my life too.

@figmentfan423 ... glad you are enjoying some fall weather...no such luck here...we're now having 'summer' after a season of below-normal temps and plenty of rain...high yesterday was 95.

As for WDW, we love going in the Fall...low crowd levels, MNSSHP, F&W...moving into MVMCP...

Would love to go in Autumn. I'd love to be able to go at a time that isn't absolutely hectic. However, I keep reading that there is no quiet periods in WDW anymore, is it a case of autumn being slightly less busy/manageable or are the parks actually quiet?

Did the first morning segwey tour of Epcot two years ago and it was absolutely glorious without the crowds.

Went last year in September and it was beautiful in the parks all decorated for Halloween. Here in VA this morning it was in the 50s, going to 80s today, just lovely.

We'll be there in 10 days!! And, this will be the second time we've gone in September. I LOVE it! I really get the best of both worlds. Fall is my favorite season (leaves changing, football, pumpkins, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.). So, I get all of the decor at Disney and the festivities that I love. However, I still get the summer weather in Florida! AND, I get that summer weather without any of the summer crowds! AND I get free dining!! It's amazing!

Autumn is my favorite time of year period....although living in Texas, we don't really get one, I miss living in Northern Virginia, driving from Fairfax to Lynchburg and seeing the trees change colors...I also feel it is the best time of year for WDW.

IMO, best time of the year to go. Weather, crowds and decor are awesome. At age 55, I plan to spend one week (at least) in WDW for the F&W Festival every year until I meet my maker. Just 15 more years to go!

It is very nice in October-cooler mornings and evenings, so much so that I, too, have two COATS :D I got on trips to stay warm in. I can honestly say that my jean jacket from Disney (enhanced by pins) is one of my favorite purchases
