I would think the problem with trying to have ASIMO move is that its outside in the elements. I don't know if there is an all-weather ASIMO...

Welp... I suppose it's more Tomorrowlandy than "Car Park".

Kinda reminds me of the robot camera man and the robot (formerly RCA) dog at the exit of WDW's Space Mountain. But, yeah, movement would be nice.

It's not that hard to put in a simple motor in to move an arm up and down. Even Chief Waves-a-lot does that.

This installation is so embarrassingly lame. What were they thinking?

This is so weird. I would say they seemed to proceed under the false assumption that ASIMO is a beloved character, but let's be serious here. It's a corporate ad, plain and simple. It doesn't make any sense and it doesn't have to. It's also not an improvement. I do think Walt would have gone for something like this and so would Disney of decades ago, so I can't hate it.
