autograph books

I remember someone saying that one version of the autograph books had spots for pictures. My question is are the photo slots horizontal or vertical, because vertical shots look better IMHO?

As of my CP ending in early Jan there were three versions of autograph books that held pictures. They are princess, pirate, and a red gender neutral one. The picture spots are horizontal. I believe that's the term for not up and down. You could put the pictures in either way its just that the book is a bit wider than it is tall. These books were running $10.95 plus tax when I left.

They hold horzontal pictures. There are not many pages in these books though. My kids are character freaks and have to get tons of autographs so we get the plain books. They hold about 4 times as many autographs.

Actually at least the "normal" non princess one doesn't really hold pictures well... it is designed for horizontal pictures but doesn't hold a normal 4x6 and the holder is only attached on two sides so it doesn't do a great job of holding pictures.

These books are great for some things but as a combination signature/photo album they are poorly designed. The real benefits are they provide a much bigger signing area and I have noticed most characters tend to size their signature based on the size of the page... so if you use the normal small autograph books you get a small signature... if you use these you get a mondo mega sized signature. Also if you use something like a sharpie you don't have to worry about bleed through. The down side is they don't have nearly as many pages... so if you get a lot of signatures you are going to end up with a lot of books.

Personally I use both now (after one trip going through 4 of the picture/signature books only to realize afterwards no pictures really fit in them
