Disney has posted some pictures of the DVC model rooms for Aulani Resort and Spa at Ko Olina, Oahu, Hawai`i. What do you think of the decor?

Looks awesome to me except maybe the split balcony. Not sure that works very well.

Is the split balcony due to the 2br being a lockout?

Very nice but does not have a very Hawaiian or tropical feel(decor-wise) other than maybe the pic. But then again it is in Hawaii so maybe they do not have to project that feel. I was thinking it was a lock off also and that its why the balcony is set-up as such also.

They were actually going for the authentic Hawaii feel and not the imagined or man-made Hawaii. From our meeting, Joe Rohde said that most people associate Hawaii with Tiki torches and bamboo which is not the real Hawaii at all. So I am guessing the rooms are more authentic in decor then what one may expect Hawaii to be
