Attraction Referbs In November/December

Hi Everyone!

I'm thinking of planning a trip for late November (after Thanksgiving) and early December. We've been to Disney many times but it was usually in April/May and I know we've run into a few referbs in the past on the attractions that we wish weren't down, but we "let it go" (sorry had to do it :)).

The questions I posing are:

1) When WDW decides to referb an attraction, is it based on need, money, park attendance patterns or all of the above?

2) Is anytime of the year better then another to go to avoid these referbs?

Anything you all can give me, would be greatly appreciated. We are planning the trip with the family, this weekend. Thanks again!

I think refurbishments aren't something you can avoid.
I guess it's the least common during summer, but nobody wants to go to Disney "in summer." (Frozen reference, wink wink)

To answer your question, refurbs are least common during peak season. Like Pocahontas said, that would include summer, but also holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving.

Personally I (and most people) would rather have a few rides down for refurbishment than huge crowds in the parks.
