There is a more recent version of parts of the monorail guide posted on the NTSB website including; Excerpts Monorail Operations Manual, Excerpts from Monorail Operating Manual, Excerpts from Monorail Maintenance Manual, and Excerpts Operator Guide Monorail Coordinator (Monorail Central). After the accident investigation some info became public records.

I don't think I am going to put my kids on the monorail any more unless they have their own fall protection.... I mean if there is a fire and we are asked to get on the roof of the train and then slide down the nose to the rail to escape the fire...... yea fall protection was just added to my kids back pack checklists.

ITA Honestly, I wish there was a better evac plan for monorails cause doing that with small children would be VERY difficult, let alone disabled children. Having a trainload of people trying to climb out to the rails seems like a recipe for[more] disaster. Still, though, I ride
