Attraction ideas?

I'm pretty sure there was at least once in your life when you dreamed of becoming an Imagineer, and that's why I would like to here your attraction ideas for WDW. It can be based on a Disney franchise, it can be original, maybe even a ride that already exists! whatever you want. Just something that you would love to see at Disney World. Good Luck!

I would like to see more characters out and about in the park. Besides the aggressive crowd size, the lack of characters walking around was the most glaring difference between my recent visit and that in 1992. I know this would be a big challenge as with the large crowds they would get mobbed, but it still was disappointing, as it is what gave the park that special flare. It's part of what made you feel like you were in Walt Disney World as opposed to just a Theme park with some characters hidden away at certain meeting spots for which you had to wait in long lines to even catch a glimpse of them. The other current option to see them up close is having to pay for a very expensive meal to have them come to your table.

Hi all,

I was thinking, perhaps before Disney comes up with a replacement ride for Autopia and the Speedway, they could make a slight alteration that would make the ride a whole lot more challenging. This would be a temporary replacement before they may eventually replace it with something like the Tron Lightcycle at Shanghai Disneyland. However, since that ride is based on Radiator Springs Racer, and since that ride cost 200 million dollars, it may be awhile before Disneyland Park and the Magic Kingdom see replacements for Autopia and the Speedway respectively. Now, with the existing rides, if they can reverse the cars and have you drive the track backwards (in reverse basically) looking over your shoulder, moving at 7 mph might actually prove challenging not only to children, but even adults. I don't know what you would rename the attraction (Maybe Autodystopia with some futuristic dystopian theming), but it was an idea for something in the meantime. It might require new cars, or some tweaking of the transmission of the existing cars. There might also need to be the incorporation of automatic braking technology to prevent bumping, as well as, a better rearview visability for shorter/younger guests to see behind their car as they drive down the track. However, since there may only be ~120 to 130 vehicles at each park and they may be due for replacements, this might not be a huge investment for Disney. Plus they might at this time switch to electric cars like Hong Kong Disneyland's Autopia so guests don't have to choke on all of the exhaust fumes from the cars at the entry queue. Well, it would at least be something that might cause people who write off these attractions to reconsider Autopia and the Speedway as something to try.

If WOL ever re-opened, I'd like to see an attraction that would be in the space that formerly housed "The Making of Me" (since y'know...). It'd be a show about REX (of coooooouurrsse...) finding out he has diabetes, and Dr. Cynthia Lair (from Body Wars) telling him how to stay healthy. Outside Body Wars, Dr. Lair could sign autographs and take pictures.
In Tomorrowland, S.I.R. could just wander around, signing autographs, etc.
And in Echo Lake, REX could be meetable.

Who is REX?

I think we need another ride in DHS that fits the "old Hollywood" motif so that ToT isn't all alone. We also need a self-piloted ride system. Thus, I thought of "Keystone Cops Dogems", a bumper cars ride with a silent movie theme! It would capture the crazy action and motion of the early silent picture movies.

REX was the pilot of Star Tours...before the update where C-3PO took over.

Magic kingdom:
Replace/retheme autopia with a go kart style wreck it Ralph sugar land theme. I understand it's sort of in tomorrowland but it's also sort of in fantasyland
Epcot: replace EEA/UOE with a Big Hero 6 themed dark ride in which you ride in a car that looks like Baymax through futuristic technologies and the story of big hero 6.
Animal kingdom: I would have rather seen beastly kingdom over avatar but I'm not upset nonetheless.
Hollywood studios: Love Star Wars and toy story lands. Slinky roller coaster is a must do. I think Star Wars land needs another dark ride/ roller coaster to go with star tours. I would love to see a monsters inc door coaster. This would help spread out crowds IMO.

Here's a thought - why not retheme that horribly out-of-place Aladdin spinny ride in Adventureland to...

Tiki Birds! You could fly around on colorful macaws. The camels could be replaced with chanting tikis, and the centerpiece could be an elaborate fountain, or something involving torches.

That way, Magic Kingdom keeps their kid-friendly capacity, but doesn't hamfistedly destroy the aesthetic :D Everything would be nice and unified and kitsch-Polynesian, the way God intended.

Hi, I think some movies should get more attention and space in Disney parks. Such as a Goofy movie, The Rescuers or Mulan. So I've always pictured nice rides or attractions about them. A musical show for goofy movie (it has an AWESOME soundtrack), or a ride called "a trip with goofy and max" and playing those songs along. If I could experience a Disney movie scene, I would love it to be that one where Bernard and miss Bianca fly on the albatross, so I think a flight simulator just like Soarin' but on the albatross would be amaaaazing, for two riders at once.
I can't think of anything Mulan themed, but I'll think about it and post here. Disney needs to honor this old, but gold movies.

I was thinking the same idea with The Rescuers and it's sequel. I always imagined if an attraction based on The Rescuers ever existed it would fit somewhere in Animal Kingdom (At least if AK ever added an Australia section as a future expansion). My idea for a Rescuers attraction would be like Soarin with more special effects such as air blowing into your face as you pass through fireworks or water splashing into you as you are flying across the pond. I always imagined that attraction to be taken place after the sequel where Bianca and Bernard are on a new rescue mission.

I always loved and enjoyed The Aristocats since I was little. I have two ideas that have been surfing around my mind for years.

1) An attraction featuring the kittens Marie and Duchess and featuring Toulouse,Berlioz and Roquefort educating guests about French culture. This idea stuck with me the most way before the announcement of Frozen at Epcot. I imagine this attraction to be either an AA show or a show similar to Mickey's Magical Map. So far I have the segment for French music starring Duchess,Marie, and Berlioz while French art is taught by Toulouse,Roquefort and Thomas o'Malley. I picture this being a new building somewhere in the France Pavilion and a building next to it is based on the house where the cats lived at where guests can meet the kittens. Especially since Berlioz and Toulouse are meetable at Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort.

2) My second idea based on The Aristocats can be a ride where guests are riding in cars based on the motorcycle that Edgar is seen riding in the film. This idea is still a work in progress but I picture this being exclusive to Disneyland Paris or Tokyo Disney Resort. Due to the popularity of Marie back in Japan.

I like both of these! We need to give some love to the Aristocats; that movie is almost forgotten today.

I agree, while the film has gained mixed views from various Disney fans. Disney sure become very fond with Marie since the late 90's and has gained her own fans over the years especially in Japan and Asia. You can find alot of Marie merch if you visit WDW mainly at the France Pavilion in Epcot which is the easiest to find or at Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom. Heck Marie even had a cameo in the 1997 film Flubber starring Robin Williams as one of the reaction the yellow robot makes. I haven't seen the film in years so I forget the context but I did see a screenshot of it on the Disneywiki.

Help with these two ideas are highly welcome. Especially the second idea.
