Thanks Shelley! I got the email too - however it doesn't seem like $74 is a particularly good deal for the values, is that just my imagination?? However I do have a trip coming up in March I better call and make my ressies today. Think I'll try for the POR this time.

Thanks, we are planning an extra trip in May since we will be getting an AP in Feb and were worried about the room rates. We are DVC so we don't normally care about it, but we want to do a few days at VB with DVC and the rest (and weekend) at WDW with AP or code rates to save some points.

I was going to call today and see if we could get code or AP rates for May. I know this doesn't list them, but gives me hope.

I want to say that this is during peak season so $74 is not too bad considering the increase in rack rates for 2005. Glad I could help you!!

Good job Shelley! I came in from the doctors and found the e-mail with the AP discount announcement.

Please everyone, do not forget that I can also book AP rooms for you. I do not charge anything to do this.

Those really don't seem too good. In the past they have often had $49 value, $79, mod and $109 starting Deluxe. And they were good all seven nights of the week.

True enough, however I can tell you in my following of the AP rates, that the rates you refer to were offered at the Value seasons ONLY, never at Peak season which is what these current rates are for!!! The $49/$79/$109 were indeed offered to AP holder for the period of January through Mid February only. Belle

Yeah, I see your point. However I don't like the Sunday through Thursday thing. As a Florida Resident I usually only spend Friday and Saturday nights. I checked and even the new Florida Resident rates say Sunday through Thursday.

I agree with that, as I usually fly in on a Saturday morning to make the most of my Mouse time!!!! If I can be in Disney more and use less vacation days from work, that is a great thing!!!! I wonder if this restriction will be relaxed or possibly eliminated as time goes on. It might be if enough people complain about it. I hope so and I know Pam will tell us if she hears anything to that effect!!! Belle

I just got 79 a night useing an email code for POR (mod) for May. I think that is pretty good. I was also qouted 59 for a value and it was closer to 200 for AKL.

:sohappy: I didnt even see this post, and I called to see what the rates were for AP's for April. MAN.!! I'm so stoked right now. I booked in a heartbeat. We are getting the AP's before we leave, so I never got the email most of you are referring to. My wife don't like the fact that we will have to add an additional day to the trip--but the heck with her....She'll live. HeHe :D
$74.00 seems fair to me, expecially for the time of year the rates are for.
I'd like to do the moderates resort, but I can't push it with my wife. Maybe we'll just get some more souviners on this trip. :)

I just booked Thu - Mon at POR-Riverside for $104. Dunno if that's great or not but for a weekend in mid-March it seems pretty fair.

Um, no one book a Friday or Saturday. Leave the whole resort empty. Two weekends and it would change.

LOL That is a good one!!! And believe it or not it just might have an effect!!! Although if you read the fine print it is only for check ins for Friday or Saturday, not stays over the weekend. Belle

Thanks Belle. I missed the fine print. Sounds like Florida residents are the ones who will be hurt the most with the Sun-Thursday policy. Hum, they very people Disney counts on to fill the rooms on the weekends. :veryconfu

Well at least this is encouraging.........

2005 AP Discounts through the peak season. :)

I will have to wait a bit longer, since I am looking for late APRIL (regular season), but I would even take the peak season rates.... still better than full price.
