Hey all, when I'm in the 'World I'm concerned as to the amount of ATMs that will be around just incase, and if not do the snack carts and CS restaurants accept debit/credit card? I can't seem to remember if they do/don't.

Almost all of the snack carts can take cards. Unless it is someone just walking around you should be able to use your card. Cards are taken at all restaurants.

Looking at the maps for ATMs in the parks, I can tell you how many there are in each park. The Magic Kingdom has 4 ATMs inside the park and one at the entrance. Hollywood Studios has one outside the entrance and 2 inside the park. Epcot has one outside the entrance and 1 in Futureworld and 1 in World Showcase. Animal Kingdom has one outside the entrance and 1 inside the park.

Correct, nearly all snack stands take credit/debit cards. I know because I was on the team that first implemented a system for their use a few years ago...they've moved on to a better, more reliable system now.

You'll hardly need cash unless it's for something from a balloon/nighttime light street vendor. I never carry cash and never have a problem (except for the balloon people) spending money.

I believe the resorts all have ATM machines as well. Worse case, there are a few Publix Grocery stores on 192 outside of WDW. Buy a candy bar and get $100 back!

Depending on your bank it might be important to know whose ATMs are in the parks. All the ones I've seen recently are Chase. They used to be someone else (Sun Trust?) - I don't know if Chase bought out Sun Trust (like they bought out my bank), or just took over the ATMs or what.

I believe last time we were there, the atms were Chase and charged you when you took money out

All ATM's are chase and will charge a fee for you to use if you do not have an account with them. They are easy to find in every park, resort, and Downtown Disney. All restaurants, shops, and snack carts will take your credit card and key to the world card. As other have stated, the only exceptions are the balloon, light toy vendors, and such.

I imagine that this could change soon. Check this out...

Seems like if carts can have card capability it wouldn't be much trouble to give remote terminals to mobile vendors.

ATMs are Chase. Chase is the "official" bank of WDW.

I know the ATMs in Epcot are in the bridge between Future World and World Showcase, next to the kids play fountains, and the World Showcase ATM is off the rear left of American Adventure, back by the bathrooms.

I would be surprised at all to see it change either, but I wanted to pass along the current information. The new Disney Stores have iphone like devices where they can ring up a purchase (usually used for the RideMakerz area), take your card for payment, and then email you your receipt. When my old manager showed me I thought it was awesome.

Maybe its more of a physical issue. Balloon CMs are always holding a set of balloons with one hand. The other hand would be holding the machine leaving the guest to rune their card like the card readers we see at a lot of stores?

OR

They can design some type of harness that they wear around their neck like a harmonica thing...

ATMs are basically everywhere in the parks and resorts. Not to worrry. And in the two weeks I just spend at WDW, I didn't use a dime of cash. Every vendor I purchased from took cards. There were some push-cart types selling flashy toys that didn't take credit cards, so if you want to by some of that stuff, bring a bit of cash.
