Assembly Line ride

I thought about this morning based on three things: Jim Hill's column talking about how the idea for Tomorrowland Transit Authority came after a visit to a Ford plant; Eisner's desire to have an attraction based on factories; and the conveyor belt scene from Attack of the Clones. This could make a good EPCOT attraction. You go to tour a factory but somehow end up "ON" the assembly line as one of the products being built/assembled. Robot arms swing by you, stamping machines barely miss you, the paint machine sprays you, etc. Perhaps it could even appear that something is being built around you.

Has anyone ever heard of plans for a ride like this, and do you think it has any potential?

THe Test Track link was my first thought. On first inspection, I thought the attraction was going to have a more interactive "robot" section in it.

I actually think this attraction could be a great addition to MGM along the lines of Incredibles (I know, another Pixar tie in). I really think the entire backlot should be opened up as a walk-around area with various interactive exhibits. Re-create Edna's lab (with larger cars that travel around) and use screen technology and effects to "test Disney costumes." However, after stating "this might be a bit over the top," you are allowed to tour the workshop itself (from an inside catwalk over the shop.
