ASM Suites?

We are booked to be there as ASM suites April 6-12. Looking forward to it, my question is what building are the suites located in and their proximity to the main building. Mainly because this will be the deciding factor as to the refillable mug offer! My limited knowledge is that the main building has three sets of pairs of buildings direcly behind it with the pools in between the buildings kind of in a big horshoe shape.

From my understanding they were all previously preferred rooms so they will all be fairly close to the food court. When we stayed in them it was a very short walk to the food court.

On the refillable mug thing you just need to determine if you will you be buying drinks in the food court at least 6 times. Any less than that and you are not saving money. You get a nice cup out of the deal but that is about it.

Since you have suite with a fridge you can pick up a couple of 12 packs of sodas at one of the HESS stations on property and save a ton of money and walking. You will also have a coffee maker in your room as well.

My wife and I have been discussing this exact thing. I ultimately think it is gonna boil down to if she just wants the mugs. If so I think I will more than likely buy two, pack lots of juice boxes for the kids, some coffee and call it a day. I dont' like the idea of walking at 11pm to the main building to get a drink!

Does anybody else get to the point that you get so close to your trip you start to over think/analyze every aspect of your trip! New questions keep popping up everday it seems!

Yes. I fly out tomorrow afternoon and I know I'm over thinking a lot of things. I'm just so excited. This is my 1st trip in 2 1/2 years. :sohappy:

"The 520-square-foot Family Suites are located in the Jazz Inn and Calypso buildings at All Star Music"

Calypso are the 2 buildings closest to the main building (Melody Hall), Jazz Inn are the next 2 closest. Calypso is preferred.

As the PP said, the suites are located in Calypso (Buildings 1 and 10) and Jazz (Buildings 2 and 9). These are the 4 closest buildings to the food court/main building.

We were in Calypso and the walk from our room (3rd floor) to the beverage stand was just under a minute. The walk from the main building to piano pool (which was located just past the Jazz Section) was about 3 mins depending on our walking speed. End result? For the $12, you'll get your money's worth!

We always like to ask for "closest available" and prefer building 10 out of all of them.

We were always in Jazz when we stayed there (for about 12 years running) and we NEVER had a problem with noise, distance to the Food courts, pools...anything. You've got your pick of the Guitar or Piano pool...it was great. We didn't see the point of wasting the xtra money on Calypso, but that's just us. Have FUN!!! So jealous...not going 'til June!!

Elevators?

We're thinking of staying in the ASM suites this May. Just wondering if the buildings have elevators?

Much easier w/strollers & luggage to have elevators, otherwise we might request first floor.

They do have elevators. I also think that most if not all of the suites are on the ground floor.
