Asking for 'quiet' experience at Whispering Canyon - can it be done?

We're staying at WL and I really want to try Whispering Canyon breakfast because the menu looks really good, but I don't like their shenanigans/gimmicks. Is it possible to ask the server for a non-rowdy experience for the table? I'll even throw an extra $20 his/her way for this.

And yes someone here will be inclined to tell me to go someplace else, but since we're staying at the WL for a week, I do want to try it.

Sometimes servers/cast members catch on that someone isn’t interested. You could mention it when you check in.

We went for dinner last October after it was apparently 'toned down'we still saw plenty of the ketchup action and gimmicky stuff but we had a 5 year old who wanted to be part of it if it had just been the two of us I'm sure we could have chosen a quieter spot just not sure o would have asked for ketchup 😂

You can't get a completely "quiet" experience, because the antics will still be going on with other tables. But if you tell the cast member when they seat you, your server will cut out the performance and just act normal.

I'm not sure if this will save you if you ask for ketchup, though.

Yep. You'll probably still have to listen to the shenanigans of other tables, but from what I understand if you tell the host/server you don't want to take part in the silliness they should accommodate you. I've also heard breakfast is a quieter time anyway, for what it's worth.

I don’t mind the shenanigans from other tables, we just don’t want to be part of it. Tks!

I also just realized that you're staying at the WL. Just an off topic word of advice- the resort is beautiful and I loved it, but I would strongly suggest bringing your own conditioner if you aren't already! The stuff the hotel provided turned my hair into straw.

Thank you for the advice! I would have never thought that.

I have the same problem with the 50's Prime Time Cafe. I don't mind the schtick up to a point, but when it turns into nagging it just gets uncomfortable.

Even though you want to avoid the shenanigans, there is no quiet place to be seated here. Whispering Canyon doesn't include a single whisper. We have been seated in the section away from the central area of the dining room, but still there was a lot of noise.

We went in 2017 and we were NOT interested in the gimmicks either. We asked at check in and they placed us in a "quieter" area of the restaurant and did not do anything gimmicky at our table. They did at surrounding tables, but we weren't impacted and really enjoyed our meal.

We ate breakfast there in August 2018 and it was not loud at all - while they did amuse one table with a ton of ketchup, and have the kids ride their "horses" around the restaurant, other than that, it was fairly quiet.

There is actually a nook of about 4-6 tables just outside the main area, I was really worried we would be sat there, it is secluded from the rest of the restaurant, if you sit there you will have a quiet area, you will notice it when you walk up

Not sure how busy breakfast is but we went for lunch at noon at the beginning of June and there was only 2 other couples in the place. It was super quiet
