Logging on to the WDW website past few days. Thought it interesting that the first thing you see (only because the MSEP is soon ending, of course) is an image of Elliott and Pete. Hey what a coincidence, there's a new Pete's Dragon movie opening today! That's weird. I bet the old Elliott and the new Elliott have to call each other in the morning to make sure they don't both wind up wearing the same clothes to school.
On a related note, the voice of the new Elliott is John Kassir who used to be the voice of the Cryptkeeper on the old Tales From the Crypt series. I follow his comings and goings on FB, and after all the news about there being a new Tales From the Crypt series in development, in which he's not involved at all*, seeing him involved in something else that might be huge, it seems to be making him very happy.
(*I think the producers who made the HBO show created that character but not the show title - which comes from EC Comics - so the new producers either couldn't get the rights to the Keeper or never tried, opting to do something new)
