It`s being knocked left right and center in various threads here and elsewhere...

An early proposal includes a theme park with six hotels, 95 shops, 27 rides, 12 stages and 18 restaurants.

That`s more than DLP had on opening day... that should be enough to raise eyebrows.

Why waste all of that cash in Missouri? And why build that many hotels so fast? It doesn't make sense for Disney to build a huge resort to compete with itself in an area that really isn't attracting too much tourist business to begin with. They have trouble filling all of the hotels at Disney as it is...Looks like wishful thinking to me.

Actually it wouldn't surprise me one bit. I've been hearing for years that Disney wanted a theme park in Missouri. That is obvious every time we walk down Main Street in ALL of Disney Parks. He was quite fond of his Missouri roots. Although I have to admit its wishful thinking on my park (I'm in St. Louis, MO) - it would be great to have Disney a little bit closer. IMO, Branson wouldn't be so bad of an idea. I really like it there. Its a small town, but it would almost KILL Silver Dollar City, and Celebration City (theme Parks). Anywho, I hope this happens!!!
